About Cela
Welcome; I am so happy you are here!
Over the years I have noticed lots of noise and confusion in the natural wellness space. What should be a simple, easier approach to life has evolved into constantly changing plans, protocols, therapies and undue stress.
Having been raised to live simply on real food, fresh air and sunshine, I have rarely jumped on the bandwagon of diets, plans, supplements… These things certainly have a place and time, but they should not be a lifestyle that is costly, difficult to follow, and poorly understood. I have noticed few of these protocols are sustainable and while they may provide short-term relief, they rarely lead to the lasting health sought by those in need.
Although I have always lived a relatively simple, natural lifestyle and raised my children this way, we have not been immune to illness and injury. We experienced first-hand the allopathic medicine/symptom management approach when one of my daughters was diagnosed with two debilitating autoimmune diseases and one of my sons suffered a vaccine injury. Seeing my own children suffer these health issues with little hope of restoration from the traditional medical community made me dig deeper and harder to find answers. I wanted my children and family well and would settle for nothing less than restoration and abundance.
I began seeking natural practitioners for a more tailored approach for my children and family. After many protocols and plans, it was clear that even in the alternative health space, symptom management and one-size fits all protocols were a big focus. Many well-meaning practitioners concentrate on symptoms, suggesting supplements, just as their allopathic counterparts do with pharmaceuticals. These can help with symptoms, but don’t address the cause and thus don’t allow the body to actually heal. Many fail to ask the most important question of symptoms: WHY?
Symptoms are not an enemy to be silenced, they are the body’s way of communicating that something is wrong.
They should not simply be suppressed but addressed. This led me into years of research, study and eventually a PhD in Holistic Medicine and Healing Nutrition – confirming again that the path to health is pretty simple, yet often hard to find, and that the body has a beautiful innate healing ability in the correct environment.
My goal is to get to what is going on behind the symptoms by asking WHY you are feeling a certain way and to discover WHAT your body is trying to communicate. Instead of guessing and trying different protocols and approaches, I use a variety of targeted functional lab tests. These tests point to weak areas of the body and allow me to provide you with education and information on how to support those areas to facilitate your innate healing, restore balance and live abundantly.
Who do I work with?
Individuals with hormonal imbalances, perimenapausal, menopausal, weight fluctuations, irregular or painful periods (painful periods, while common, are not normal).
Those with chronic digestive issues, such as bloating, gas, diarrhea, constipation, IBS, etc…
Those who have tried various diets and protocols but have been unable to find sustainable abundant health.
Those not dealing with major health problems yet still feel you are not thriving: waking with energy, generally happy and enjoying abundance.
